Support our mission of digital equity through community
Letter from the Executive Director
I'm an only child, and my parents are older, so growing up I spent a lot of time hanging around with them and their friends, all of whom were older adults. I loved it, honestly. Great stories, always yummy food on offer, and a sense of humor you just don't get anywhere else.
As I got older, I started noticing something. My parents, and their friends, were quietly getting left behind as everything moved online. If my dad forgot his banking password, no big deal, I'm a 30 minute drive away and I'd go fix it. But his friends? Their kids lived way further away. There was no one to call.
That stuck with me. These are people who spent their whole lives building the communities we live in, and now they're expected to navigate a digital world that wasn't really built for them, where one forgotten password can lock you out of your own savings, and one convincing phone call can lose you everything. And with scams getting sneakier and AI making all of this easier to fake, it's only getting scarier out there.
That's why Digital Bridge Society exists. Because every older adult deserves someone in their corner, not just their own kids, a whole community that's willing to sit down, be patient, and say "let's figure this out together."
You can donate to our programs here. Your support helps us be that for the folks whose kids can't always show up. Thank you.
